Daniel Cormier is a former UFC fighter, a commentator, and only the second in UFC history to hold the championship belt in two divisions simultaneously. The former Olympian became only the first fighter to win and successfully defend light heavyweight and heavyweight division belts.

His alma mater, Oklahoma State University, welcomed ‘DC’ as he joined the broadcast booth of the NCAA wrestling competition. Cormier, who is also a former NCAA Division 1 runner-up, received a warm welcome from the Director of Athletics at Oklahoma, Chad Weiberg.

Subsequently, Weiberg shared a picture of the two on his Twitter and called ‘DC’ as one great representative of the Oklahoma State University Cowboy wrestling team.

He captioned the picture, “Every year at @NCAAWrestling championships, reminded of the influence @CowboyWrestling has on the sport. Cowboys everywhere. This year, it was an honor to meet @dc_mma! A great representative of this #DynastyDefined. #GoPokes

Cormier, too, responded pleasantly and wished luck to his former team. He quoted, “Let’s go cowboys!!!! Let’s go Daton! Nice to meet you #DynastyDefined

Daniel Cormier joins NCAA broadcast booth

‘DC’ announced his retirement from the sport as a fighter after his defeat against Stipe Miocic at UFC 252. After having an illustrious MMA career as a fighter, Cormier started commentating fights for the UFC.

Being one of the most skillful wrestlers in MMA’s history, ‘DC’ has become an authority on wrestling. In fact, has an innate love for the sport and recently commentated at NCAA annual wrestling championship.

Cormier announced it with a jubilant tweet and expressed his excitement for the same. Also, ‘DC’ announced he will call the semifinal and final bouts of the NCAA.
