The comedian was a big-time bodybuilding fan and looked up to bodybuilders growing up. Rogan’s intrigue with bodybuilding led to a very insightful conversation with Yates.

In one of the more interesting sessions of conversation, the former Mr. Olympia was looking at his pictures from his bodybuilding days.

When Rogan pulled up a picture from Yates’ heydays, gazing at them, Yates said, “that’s insane, you couldn’t really fit more muscle onto that frame. I know I went to places and I did things, other people, you know, in the gym”

Joe Rogan, who was in awe, complimented the bodybuilder’s forearm. He said, “look at your f*cking forearms”

Clearing the air, the Brit replied, “that’s the thing, forearms. I never did any training for forearms. All that was just gripping the bar and doing the back training and some biceps training.”

Yates then went on to tell Rogan that during the time of competition his body fat was around 3%, however, it wasn’t sure since it was never the criteria to get it measured.

Moreover, the bodybuilder clarified that more than the number, what mattered was how the athlete appeared on the stage.
