Khamzat Chimaev’s rise was second to none. In a matter of months, he got his initial UFC wins that made him a superstar. However, things took a turn for the worse when he caught Covid. Since then, his health started to deteriorate. More recently, he was out of the sport for a while due to his health condition. Nevertheless, recently, on his Instagram, he teased the MMA world about making a comeback to the sport at UFC 300.

Moreover, in a recent turn of events,  Dana White at a UFC 297 post-fight press conference revealed what lies ahead of the middleweight prospect. Will he fight at UFC 300? Let’s find that out.

There are plenty of opponents for Chimaev in the middleweight division. The question is when and where. Moreover, even White himself is unsure about it but he was asked in the post-fight press conference. In his response, he does address that indeed, Chimaev was quite unwell and could not compete for this reason. However, fortunately for the undefeated boxer, he appears to be in great spirits. But at the same time, The CEO of UFC wonders if he is ready to compete at UFC 300 which is right around the corner. At the pressor, he stated, “He did get very sick and I know he is better, I don’t know if he is let’s fight in 300 better. But we’ll see.”

It appears the times are exciting for the middleweight champion. If not at UFC 300, he sure will return soon. But there are no decisive answers as of yes. That being said, Chimaev is geared up to make a return as he only a few days ago, called out the biggest sports superstar.

On New Year’s Eve, Conor McGregor announced his return to the middleweight division. Subsequently, this caught the attention of the middleweight prospect who did not waste any time calling out the biggest star of the UFC. In an interview, he revealed he could not be more confident about beating the Irish Man with a stern warning as he said, “I don’t think ever will happen, our fight. If it happens, of course, I’m gonna smash that guy.”
