Will McGregor's BKFC involvement hinder his much-anticipated UFC comeback?

Conor McGregor might not be getting matchups for UFC fights yet, but he is undoubtedly getting invites from his BKFC fighters! The Irishman is never out of the limelight and so in this new installment of ‘What’s Up with McGregor’– he was spotted at the Newcastle United vs. Arsenal soccer match at St. James Park. He was seen enjoying the game live from the stands of the iconic stadium. Naturally, the former dual-weight champ shared some photos of the day thanking the Newcastle United Foundation for sending him an invite.

He wrote a heartfelt message stating, “A great day with friends at the @nufc vs @arsenal game at the legendary football stadium that is St. James Park! Iconic football grounds! Then on to @harrysbarnewcastle for @forgedirishstout and @properwhiskey! What a day! Thank you to @nu_foundation for my invitation, it was great to hear about the work you do for disadvantaged children in your area and around the country, and I will be very happy to help! Let’s go Toon Army!”

However, this solicited a certain BKFC star’s attention who was left unrecognizable after his fight with Jonny Graham even though the former won. Connor Tierney was the star who decided to invite both McGregor and Tom Brady who was part owner of Birmingham City FC, to Birmingham and check out  St. Andrew’s Stadium for a BKFC event. The recent Bare Knuckle UK title winner commented, “You’ve got to come to watch Birmingham city @bcfc with @tombrady next so we can use the stadium as a venue for @bareknucklefc.”

According to the ‘American Gangster’,  I was just with Michael Chandler one week ago in Florida. And in visiting with Michael Chandler, it did become very obvious like what Chandler and Conor had going and when that fight was going to happen, or if it’s going to happen, or if it’s still going to happen. One thing that was very obvious through my visits with Michael Chandler is there is not a plan that hasn’t been revealed to us, the audience.”

He believes that the boss has made no concrete plans for the Irish star and Sonnen also felt that the UFC CEO was being candid. The boss was not playing any tricks to create hype for Mac’s return. There were several talks among the MMA community about McGregor’s involvement with BKFC being unfavorable to the UFC and hindering the smooth return for Mystic Mac. But both McGregor and White dismissed these as baseless.
