If you were to pick a Hollywood actor out of a lineup, most people would complete the task within seconds, but not Joe Rogan. The UFC commentator believes he will be in a tight spot if he chooses between two Ryans. The situation would be even worse if it were a life-or-death situation. How does the famed podcaster land safely, then?
The 55-year-old commentator has spent a sizeable amount of time on his popular podcast indulging in conversations with people working in Hollywood. He has appeared on the silver screen multiple times, but he failed to differentiate between Ryan Gosling and Ryan Reynolds. While both actors have carved out a name for themselves, the Barbie star has seized headlines in recent months for his depiction of Ken.

The pink and dazzling world of Barbie has taken the world by storm as it continues to rack up box office records. Recently, it touched the coveted $1 billion collection mark, and the film shows no signs of slowing down. However, it was Gosling’s 2022 Netflix film that opened up Rogan’s vulnerability.
The standup comic had sat down with the American novelist, Mark Greaney, in Ep. #1942 of JRE. Greaney became popular with his Gray Man series of novels, which dive deep into the action-packed spy world. The fame of the novel compelled Netflix to splash the cash and make a screen adaptation. While the standup comic gave a thumbs down to the adaptation, his memory evaded him as he forgot the lead actor.
Throwback to when Joe Rogan fumbled to pick the correct Ryan
Joe Rogan found himself in a familiar but difficult situation as he got confused between Ryan Gosling and Ryan Reynolds. Rogan said, “Ryan Reynolds? Gosling. Why do I always f*ck that up? I always f*ck that up. I couldn’t pick either one of them out of a fu*king lineup to save my life.”

However, the color commentator soon realized his fumble and corrected himself. The same first name and a similar appearance put him in another embarrassing situation. Later on, he also admitted that he liked Gosling. He stated, “Gosling, Ryan, Gosling. I really like the guy, too.”
The other Ryan, Reynolds, has recently made some smart investments outside the film world and picked up a niche in the soccer world. He currently owns Wrexham, an English soccer club that is rising through the ranks due to its new American owner.
