After spending 14 years with the club, soccer veteran Karim Benzema is all set to part ways with Real Madrid. Ever since this announcement was made public, fans across the board are reacting to this decision of the 35-year-old soccer star. One of those is former UFC Lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov. In one of his recent Instagram stories, Nurmagomedov shared Benzema’s picture, along with the caption:

It’s no secret that the former UFC star is a big fan of football. From meeting Cristiano Ronaldo to spending time with the PSG president, Nurmagomedov never shies away from expressing his love for the game. In fact, on numerous occasions, the MMA fighter has admitted that he enjoys watching soccer more than MMA or any other combat sports. Once again, fans got a glimpse of his passion for the game through his recent post. Back in 2020, the ‘Eagle’ himself bid adios to the sport of MMA. Thus, it should be no surprise to anyone that he understands how difficult it is for an athlete to make such moves. It’s noteworthy that Real Madrid is Nurmagomedov’s favorite team alongside Anzhi Makhachkala, Galatasaray, and Liverpool.

As for Benzema, the Frenchman is expected to make a move to the Saudi Arabian team, Al Ittihad. It is speculated that the Jeddah-based club has offered a whopping 100 million dollars for this transition. Known for being one of the best strikers of all time, Karim Benzema is coming off an injury-plagued season. Previously, it was expected that despite the tempting deal, he will spend at least one more season with Real Madrid. But much to the surprise of soccer fans, the decade-and-a-half-long spell of ‘Coco’ with the Spanish Club concluded in 2023 itself.
Khabib Nurmagomedov sets Twitter ablaze with his fight announcement
Earlier this day, Ex-UFC champion, Khabib Nurmagomedov set Twitter ablaze with one of his recent tweets. The champion announced his ‘next fight’, asking his followers to guess his next opponent. But much to the dismay of fans, this wasn’t a hint towards a possible return to the octagon. Reading further reveals, the tweet was a promotion of his recent collaboration with Gameplan. Along with the tweet Khabib also shared a video, which showed him taking on his younger self in the meta-universe of Gameplan.

The 34-year-old Dagestan native announced his retirement back in 2020. At that time it came off as a surprise, considering the sambo master was in the prime of his career. Despite this, Khabib has been an active part of the sport, coaching fighters and sometimes cornering them. Though some of his fans still have hopes for a possible return, It doesn’t look like their wishes will be granted anytime soon.
