Dana White and Co. have given us some memorable moments with UFC events in the United Kingdom. As such, UFC Fight Night 255 in London gave us another memorable moment as popular soccer manager Jose Mourinho was in attendance at the O2 Arena. And guess what? Fans had a field day on social media after the former Chelsea boss dropped a famous one-liner.
As a UFC media personnel found Jose Mourinho amongst the crowd, he went on to ask Jose Mourinho about his thoughts on the main event. Who does he think will win – Leon Edwards or Sean Brady? Well, Mourinho simply said, “I think if I speak, I’m in trouble.” For the unversed, the popular soccer manager is known for that particular one-liner, which he first stated in 2014.
In fact, Jose Mourinho’s catchphrase is so iconic that it found its way into pop culture. British rapper and singer-songwriter Stormzy had the former Chelsea boss make a special appearance in his music video, ‘Mel Made Me Do It’, where a sample of Mourinho’s catchphrase was used and the soccer personality even acted out his signature silence gesture.

Well, it did not take much time for fans to chime in and share their reactions, given how popular Jose Mourinho really is in the sporting world. Moreover, fight fans even had a suggestion for a potential UFC fight for the famous manager. Here’s what the fans had to say.
Fans suggest Jose Mourinho to fight a rival manager in the UFC
Well, fans were having a hard time because one of them couldn’t believe that he witnessed Jose Mourinho attending a UFC event. With a bit of confusion, he stated, “What is he doing here?” It was certainly a surprising crossover, but not all fans appeared surprised. Some seemed pretty happy to see the former Champions League-winning manager sneaking in his catchphrase, as he commented, “Classic jose.”
Well, Jose Mourinho is nothing less than a fighter. He’s not only an inspiring manager who’s led many clubs to championship glory, but he’s also pretty confrontational with his rivals. Keeping that in mind, some fans suggested Mourinho settle the score with fellow legendary soccer manager, Arsene Wenger, inside the Octagon. “Jose v Wenger, book it Dana.” Wenger, known for his time as the boss of Arsenal FC, and the ex-Chelsea manager had a memorable rivalry in the Premier League during the 2000s. But as we all know, it seems unlikely that Dana White would entertain such ‘gimmick’ fights.
