It is a well-known fact that Rogan is not an avid follower of soccer. However, that did not stop him from having a candid and appreciative conversation about the sport’s biggest star, Lionel Messi. In the recent podcast with Gad Saad, the UFC commentator had some interesting remarks about Messi.

Years ago, Rogan and Saad had discussed Lionel Messi in an episode of the JRE podcast. At that time, Rogan had confessed to not knowing who Messi was. Fast forward to the present, and not only does Rogan know about Messi’s existence, but he also sang praises for the Argentine wizard.

“He’s an amazing soccer player. I mean, there’s no denying. He is a wizard,” Rogan mused. He went on to recall how Messi was offered a staggering sum of money by a Saudi club, Al Hilal and astonishingly turned it down. “Didn’t they offer him like some f*cking insane amount of money and he just said no?” Rogan marveled.

In his earlier conversation with Lex Fridman, Rogan also learned about the iconic rivalry between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

When Rogan enquired about who the better footballer is

In his past conversation with Lex Fridman, Rogan explored the riveting rivalry between two football giants – Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. Rogan’s curiosity came to the forefront when he inquired, “What is it like? Who’s better LeBron or Michael Jordan, is it like that kind of thing?”

Fridman’s reply left no room for doubt as he sided with Messi in the GOAT debate. According to him, the Argentinian footballer is better than his rival. However, Fridman also acknowledged the subjective nature of this debate.
