Former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou is a huge football fan. Soon after their meeting, both Ronaldo and ‘The Predator’ took to their social media handles to share their happiness at seeing each other. Their meeting has helped Ngannou receive a lot of attention from a larger audience as well.

At the moment, the Cameroonian-French fighter has something huge coming his way. He is all set to fight against the legendary heavyweight boxer Tyson Fury. The monumental clash is set to take place on October 28th in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Now, Ngannou is busy training hard for the bout. Recently, Francis Ngannou sat down with boxing legend Mike Tyson in an interview with ESPN MMA. Before he began to detail his upcoming showdown against Tyson Fury, he was asked about his experience meeting Ronaldo. ‘The Predator’ enthusiastically said, “It was amazing meeting Cristiano Ronaldo. You know I didn’t have any idea that he knows anything about a combat sport, but apparently he knows a lot than you might think he watches. He watched all the fight and his family.“

Talking further about the topic, the Cameroonian-French fighter added, “You know it was just funny sitting there standing there watching looking at Cristiano Ronaldo telling me about fight. What would be the best, like the one he liked the most. His favorite, the fighter that he liked to watch. Even about my fight. The best knockout that he preferred, that he enjoyed the most, you know it was amazing.” From Ngannou’s words, it was clear that his meeting with Cristiano Ronaldo is something that he holds close to his heart. Moreover, he was beyond surprised after learning about the vast knowledge Ronaldo has about combat sports.

‘The Predator’s bold move

Interestingly, a few days ago, Ngannou made a bold move to capture the attention of football fans ahead of his fight against Tyson Fury. Ngannou went to watch the match between Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund, and from the stadium, he posted a photo. Along with the photo he wrote, “@ManUtd’s favorite heavyweight boxer is in the building  Can’t wait to watch the match tonight in Vegas #FuryNgannou #MUFC.”
