Justin Gaethje hits notoriously hard. Known for his excellent stand-up and striking skills, the Arizona native’s exciting brawler fighting style has made him one of the most popular fighters in the UFC. This has earned him the moniker ‘The Human Highlight’.

His devastating knockout of Dustin Poirier to win the UFC’s (largely ceremonious) BMF title at UFC 291 is among the most memorable knockouts in the promotion’s history. And it seems his notoriety goes beyond the MMA world and has broken into mainstream pop culture. The 34-year-old has now served as a muse for a popular artist, surprising fans.

Puerto Rican Grammy-winning rapper Bad Bunny recently released his album ‘Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana’. The album is chock full of references to athletes such as soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, F1 legend Ayrton Senna, NBA superstar Michael Jordan, etc., among others. The song is in Spanish, but sports fans enjoyed the references nonetheless.

And he also referenced UFC lightweight star Justin Gaethje. The reference was in the song ‘Cybertruck’. The rapper compared ‘The Human Highlight’s power to the punch of a blunt, and CR7’s kick to his rhythm. This is not the first time that MMA fighters have been referenced in a song.

Some other notable examples are Action Bronson’s song Goldeneye, which says “choke you the f*ck out like a Diaz brother”, Chuck Lidell being featured in Nickelback’s video for the song Rockstar, as well as Quinton Rampage Jackson being referenced in Kanye West‘s hit song Mercy. And surprised fans took to Twitter to talk about the Gaethje reference.
