At the end of the day, it is all about mutual respect for each other and that is exactly what the fans got to witness when UFC lightweight fan favorite Conor McGregor ran into soccer icon Cristiano Ronaldo in Saudi Arabia.

Apparently, the two were attending arguably the ‘biggest fight of the year’, between former UFC heavyweight champ Francis Ngannou and WBC champ Tyson Fury. The fight was being held in Riyadh and the athletes came out to witness history in the making. While doing that, the two ended up sharing a moment that would also be remembered by fans of both sports for a long time. The fans shared their thoughts in the comment section of the Instagram post.

Conor McGregor had openly voiced his support for Francis Ngannou in his fight against Tyson Fury. McGregor himself competed against Floyd Mayweather in a boxing bout years back and obviously, was rooting for Ngannou throughout. He even offered his two cents on how Ngannou should approach the fight against Fury.

Cristiano Ronaldo is also a fan of UFC and boxing. He has been clicked with fighters like Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor, multiple times. But who was he rooting for in the fight? Well, that is not something that fans know of yet. Ronaldo, who himself is currently playing for Al Nassr Club of the Saudi League, might have turned up for the love of a good competition.

The fans couldn’t control their excitement when they saw two of the biggest athletes come together. The two had a ‘mock’ face-off session which quickly turned into a session of giggles and hugs, showing mutual respect and admiration.

“Khabib and Ronaldo’s faceoff was best“, remarked one fan as another said, “So much money in one video“. However, other fans didn’t have the nicest things to say about the two coming together. “How is conor that tall?” asked one fan. Another fan exclaimed “But ronaldo is khabib fan“. Nearly everybody knows that Khabib Nurmagomedov and Cristiano Ronaldo are great friends. One fan took a dig at that by commenting, “Khabib will be thinking ronaldo was never my friend“.

Another fan chimed in and said, “Then with Khabib, now with Conor“; “Ronaldo was not ready to fight“, joked another person. However, one fan seemed to think that McGregor was doing it for the cameras. “Connor clout chasing“, he said.
