Joe Rogan vs. Rampage Jackson—Who's in the right in their public beef?

In the past 24 hours, we have had a few noteworthy moments from the world of MMA and we’ve compiled the most significant ones in our new daily roundup edition. To start today’s news compilation, we will talk about Joe Rogan. The longtime UFC commentator recently confronted Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson about their beef back in the day.

Then, we will shift our focus to UFC superstar Conor McGregor. It appears that the Irishman shared a heartwarming message, but not for a combat sports athlete, like he usually does. Instead, the message was for one of soccer’s biggest emerging teenage talents, who’s created quite the buzz at Euros 2024. Finally, we will sum up the roundup with the unfortunate news of yet another short-notice UFC fight scheduled for the Denver card this weekend.

Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson was a very vocal individual when it came to criticisms about his performances while he was an active MMA fighter. Criticisms aren’t a novel thing in sports and guess what? Even Joe Rogan made some assessments about his fighting style when, in one of Jackson’s fights, he did not make use of his leg kicks. This supposedly angered ‘Rampage’ and he fired back. However, things have dialed down since then and Rampage Jackson recently apologized to Rogan, citing that the fans were the real reason why he lashed out at the longtime UFC commentator.

The 56-year-old claimed to have had no intention to ‘hurt his feelings’. “You didn’t hurt my feelings. It was nothing that you said. I’m going to clear it up for you right now. It wasn’t nothing you said, it’s the f***ing fans. When you said that, they all come to me on my social media,” said ‘Rampage’ Jackson on the JRE MMA Show #159.

Now that the dust has settled, there may not be any new instances of heat between Rogan and Jackson. However, that remains to be seen. Meanwhile, in our next piece of news, we have Conor McGregor.

16-year-old Lamine Yamal has been the talk of the 2024 European Championships after he scored a stunner against a Kylian Mbappe-led France squad to punch Spain’s ticket to the final of the Euros. Yamal, in scoring his goal, became the youngest to do so in that continental tournament, and that impressed Conor McGregor as he took to social media to share a few words about the Barcelona star.

“This kid is FANTASTIC! What a side this Spanish side is! WE ARE INTO THE FINALS FOR ANOTHER MILLI!” Conor McGregor wrote on his Instagram stories, hinting that he might put his money on Spain to clinch the trophy so that he can make another million like he did a few days ago when he put all his money on Nate Diaz.

Will Spain become the champions of Europe this year? Let us know your thoughts in the comments. However, before you do that, take a moment to dive into the last news in our roundup edition, which involves yet another short-notice UFC fight.

Dana White adds a fight a few days before UFC Denver

UFC’s return to Denver, Colorado looks set to be a fun one as former two-time strawweight champion Rose Namajunas takes on the undefeated (in the UFC) Tracy Cortez in the main event. But as usual, Dana White had to face another roadblock. In addition to replacing Maycee Barber with Cortez in the main event, there were reportedly several canceled fights that shook up UFC on ESPN 59. Now, new reports claim that another fight has been added to the card with the event coming up this weekend, and it will be a welterweight clash.
