McGregor's big win on Spain—does this prove he's a genius in and out of the ring?

Conor McGregor’s ‘Mystic Mac’ predictions seem to be not just limited to MMA!  The Irishman has always caught the MMA sphere’s attention with his pre-fight predictions about which round he’ll finish his opponent in. Before his iconic 13-second demolition of Jose Aldo at UFC 194, en route to unifying the featherweight titles, McGregor had proclaimed, “I feel I will KO him inside one… I see him over reacting, over extending, then KO’d unconscious.”

In another spectacular display of foresight, McGregor recently revealed that he had accurately predicted the outcome of not just the UEFA Euro 2024 tournament, but the Copa America clash between Argentina and Colombia too. With both predictions coming true, there has been a substantial windfall for ‘The Notorious’s bank account which has made a pretty good birthday present!

‘The Notorious’ recently celebrated his birthday in style by joining in Team Spain’s victory during the UEFA Euro 2024 tournament. On July 14, Spain beat England with a score of 2-1 to claim the victory and handed McGregor a whopping $1,09,1548 (converted from 1,00,2000 Euros) return on his bet.

Taking to social media, McGregor proclaimed, “‘Vamos Spain! Easy money on the Spaniards to win the Euros on my birthday! A nice mil for The Mac!”. Now, with the results of the Copa America tournament also in, it appears that Lionel Messi’s team has also pulled through for McGregor by hoisting the Copa America Trophy over Colombia with a score of 1-0.

In another post on X, McGregor revealed, “The World Cup Champs, @Argentina aim to follow in The Mac’s footsteps by becoming The Champ Champs by lifting The Copa América trophy. The OG Champ Champ is behind you!”

Putting their rivalry aside, McGregor had proclaimed that, “Range, form, experience…” and the limited rules of boxing favor the Stockton Native over ‘Gamebred’. With an impressive performance over 10 rounds, Diaz lived up to ‘The Notorious’s predictions and won the Irishman a return of a cool $1, 625,000! In the aftermath of the event, Diaz was asked to share his thoughts on his rival’s bet on him, and in his trademark fashion, he simply stated with a smile, “That’s cool, good job for us.”
