After a catastrophic start against the Saudis, Argentina mended their ways and scored their first victory on the group stage. They defeated Mexico with Goals from Lionel Messi and Enzo Fernandez. The victory was naturally celebrated in the Argentinian camp. A video from this celebration has put Superstar Lionel Messi in Trouble.
The dressing room video shows a Mexican football Jersey on the floor with Lionel Messi taking off his boots close to Jersey. Mexican fans have not taken it well. Multiple world championship winner Mexican boxer Canelo Alvarez sent out a warning to Lionel Messi.

Argentinian UFC fighter Guido Martino Cannetti shared a story on his Instagram suggesting Marvel’s Civil War-like face-off between Mexican and Argentine fighters, led by Canelo Alvarez and Lionel Messi, respectively.
Canelo Alvarez went on a twitter tirade.
Canelo Alvarez seemed very riled up after the Jersey video went viral. He tweeted about fanaticism being one thing, but protecting one’s identity was another.
Alvarez also warned Messi never to meet him as he tweeted, “Did you see Messi cleaning the floor with our jersey and flag? He better pray to God that I don’t find him. Just like I respect Argentina, he has to respect Mexico! I’m not talking about the country as a whole, just about the bullsh*t that Messi did.”
Despite facing severe backlash from many fans, Lionel Messi has found support from his teammates and some Mexican footballers too.

Sergio Aguero comes to Messi’s defense
Fellow Argentine Sergio Aguero has come out to defend Lionel Messi. Aguero sent out a message to Canelo Alvarez, asking him not to look for trouble unnecessarily. He also said that Canelo seemed unaware of football and dressing room situations. Aguero explained that the Mexican shirt was on the floor only because it was sweaty and not because the Argentine players meant any disrespect.
