Conor McGregor banks $1 million every nine seconds
McGregor reportedly made a whopping $33 million from his fight at UFC 264. The fight itself lasted for five minutes and for the few minutes of work, the Irishman banked a massive amount. Which, when calculated, gets us to a million dollars made every nine seconds. Although he was vanquished in the bout, nonetheless, making $33 million would have definitely made the fighter feel good.
Moreover, a million every nine seconds is a number that overtakes the money made by other prominent athletes. The likes of Lionel Messi, Neymar, Cristiano Ronaldo, Jake Paul, Tyson Fury, Canelo Alvarez, etc. all of them are below ‘The Notorious’ in the list.

Canelo Alvarez was second on the list, who made $85 million for 61 minutes of fighting in the same period. Which, when calculated in terms of money made per minute, turns out to be $1,393,443.

Meanwhile, The Gypsy King, Tyson fury, completes the top three earning just over $1M for every minute of fighting. In his two fights combined against Deontay Wilder, he made money worth a combined $60 million.
Notwithstanding, the fact that a soccer player mostly goes and plays for the full 90mins so there’s no surprise why the likes of Messi, Ronaldo, and Neymar are below in the list of fastest-earning athletes.
