Conor McGregor strengthened his ‘tweet- and- delete’ game, spewing some words against PFL during the Battle of the Giants pay-per-view broadcast. The former two-division UFC champion was commenting on all the fights that had a lack of adrenaline or action with four out of the five fights ending in a decision. The only amazing finish arrived in the main event when Francis Ngannou annihilated Renan Ferreira in the first round.

‘The Notorious’ did not stop there, continuing to comment on the Johnny Eblen vs. Fabian Edwards clash with sarcasm dripping from his words. This was not taken lightly by the winner, who made the Dubliner swallow a difficult pill by stating his inaction in UFC. Johnny Eblen opened his mind on Mcgregor’s inactivity and wrote on X, “Conor went from “The face of the fight game” to “The disgrace of the fight game.” “He embodies literally everything I don’t want to be as a man or as a human. What an embarrassment. It’s giving Icarus,” the Irishman further added.

Besides deciding to rebuke Conor McGregor’s absence, Eblen also commented, “Bro the fight was absolute poo, that’s it.” The Roadhouse actor and UFC star was locked in on the PFL matches and reacted to the fight of Eblen versus Edwards in a now-deleted video.“Wow!” McGregor shouted “Oh my god! No! What the hell? Wow. Oh my god! No way! F*ck off. This can’t be happening right now. He’s holding him! How’s he doing this? Oh my god! F*ck off.”

He offered more of the same remarks during the fight between Cris Cyborg vs. Larissa Pacheco. While dragging PFL he also concluded that BKFC was better and since he is the part owner of the latter, he was not leaving any chances to promote BKFC. Nevertheless, he later on deleted all the messages and videos that he had uploaded during the PFL match but it did not stop Eblen from pointing out McGregor’s state like Icarus being too close to the sun and falling from glory. However, the Irishman has recently spoken out about his return to UFC even after being away from the octagon for almost three years.

Conor McGregor gives a solid verdict on his comeback

Everyone already knows that ‘Mystic Mac’ had a career-ending injury during a gruesome battle against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in 2021. Since then he has attempted to return multiple times but after recovering from his leg surgery his latest effort was to come back at UFC 303 against Michael Chandler. Unfortunately, even that did not happen because he again injured his toe.

This prompted  Chael Sonnen questions in a video on Instagram asking about the Dubliner’s legacy. He also questioned the superstar’s previous achievements which did not sit well with McGregor and the UFC star reacted by sharing on his own Instagram story. He said, “I’m not done. It’s too handy for me to come back at any time at all and just swipe the game up again entirely. Every walk is a record.”

This is not the first time that ‘The Notorious’ has hinted at a comeback. Even if he is busy with his BKFC promotion he did confidently announce his plans on returning while speaking to Ariel Helwani. What are your ideas on McGregor’s return? Do you think he has the potential to reclaim his golden legacy or has he actually fallen like Icarus?
