The news of Francis Ngannou signing with the PFL has taken the MMA community by storm. Even UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones shared his reaction to ‘The Predator’ signing with the rival promotion. However, the UFC middleweight champion and Ngannou’s friend, Israel Adesanya, has given his take on the former UFC champion’s PFL deal.

Israel Adesanya had earlier extended his support for the French-Cameroonian fighter after the latter’s departure from the UFC. He always supported Francis Ngannou‘s vision in regard to having a representative for the fighters among the board members in the UFC. Adesanya discussed Ngannou’s move to the rival promotion in a recent YouTube video.

Adesanya had no hard feelings for Francis Ngannou moving to the PFL. He also highlighted one thing about his contract that excited him the most. The Nigerian-born said, “It’s good news. It’s good for the game, I think.” Israel Adesanya added, “What I really liked is how his opponent is guaranteed a million, that’s cool.”

In addition to Francis Ngannou’s opponent being guaranteed a million-dollar bag, Adesanya also shared his excitement about the news of PFL’s expansion in Africa, even mentioning how good Kamaru Usman‘s promotion has been. “What he’s [Ngannou] doing with PFL for Africa, even already I like African KO, the one that Kamaru [Usman] has. I have seen the fights. You can see the potential already. PFL Africa or whatever that’s gonna end [up as], Francis has a seat at the board. That’s cool,” he added.

However, another notable UFC personality didn’t have many good things to say about Ngannou.

Jon Jones mocks ‘The Predator’

Israel Adesanya was happy about Francis Ngannou’s PFL move. However, not everyone was looking at the positive side of things. The UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones took notice of the news about ‘The Predator’. He shared a tweet mocking Ngannou’s claim to the ‘Baddest Man on the Planet’ moniker. Jones tweeted, “Calling yourself the baddest man on the planet from across the street, who does that? Lol.”

The tweet didn’t go unnoticed by the French-Cameroonian fighter. He clapped back at ‘Bones’ and issued a challenge with a four-letter reply on social media. Francis Ngannou wrote, “Then cross the street.”
