UFC fighters belong to the breed of persons who can cause immense harm to an individual, even if unarmed. Still, there have been a number of instances when burglars entered their residences with the intention of stealing. The footage of the famed UFC Heavyweight king Jon Jones, chasing out one such burglar from his residence, garnered a massive number of views on social media. But his UFC 285 opponent, Ciryl Gane, didn’t have the same fate.
Even the UFC president, Dana White, experienced a similar act of burglary a few days back. An unknown person broke into the property of the 54-year-old in an attempt to steal stuff. But the security alarm and door cam at White’s residence in Levant, Maine, saved the day for him. The cameras also showcased that the burglar kicked the front door of White’s residence, but escaped, sensing that he wouldn’t be able to fulfill his intentions. But sadly, the ones who barged into Ciryl Gane’s house got their intentions well fulfilled.

The night of 2 September 2023 proved to be a superb one for the former UFC Interim Heavyweight champion. He finished off his UFC Paris opponent, Sergey Spivak, in just the second round of their clash at the main event. But he only got to know about the dreaded side of the night when he reached his residence on the next morning.
Reports say that the police were called at around 7:30 a.m. on 3 September to investigate the overnight robbery that took place at ‘Bon Gamin’s’ residence at Nogent-sur-Marne. Their investigation also revealed that the loot and damage caused by the burglars amounted to almost 150,000 euros($161,924).
The anti-burglary unit of Police also found a few pieces of evidence from the Gane’s house during their investigation. However, as of now, they haven’t been able to arrest anyone related to the case.
Lionel Messi’s ex-teammates have also gone through a similar fate
Prior to uplifting Inter Miami to the champion’s status in the MLS, the famed soccer icon, Lionel Messi used to play for the noted ‘Ligue 1’ club, Paris St-Germain F.C. A number of his ex-teammates in PSG has also experienced similar dreaded incidents like Gane.
Reports say that 8 ex-teammates of ‘Leo’ have been subjected to similar fates. However, the situation was a lot more dire in a number of their cases. It was reported that the burglars had taken Messi’s Argentinian teammate, Angel Di Maria’s wife and daughter, in captivity.
