How should the MMA community come together to support the families affected by the Bangkok bus tragedy?

The world is draped in sorrow today, as the news of a devastating incident from Thailand has broken hearts everywhere. A school bus—carrying young students and a few teachers on what should have been a simple, joyful school outing—erupted in flames, turning an ordinary day into a nightmare that no one could have imagined. The horrifying accident has cast a shadow across Thailand, leaving families and communities reeling in the wake of an unspeakable tragedy.

Reports say the bus caught fire near a suburban area of Bangkok, carrying 44 passengers. It was just another school trip from Uthai Thani to Ayutthaya and Nonthaburi provinces, filled with laughter and anticipation. But instead, it ended in horror, with 20 lives believed to be lost—most of them innocent children. It’s a heartbreak that words can barely capture, a loss that echoes beyond borders.

Fans join MMA star in mourning the feared deaths of almost two dozen children

The fans were all in with the MMA star as they prayed for the well-being of the families who lost their children in this horrific accident. As one fan commented, “My deepest condolences to the victims,” in that regard, another fan could not comprehend the fact that children were the victims of such an incident. “Those kids didn’t have the world ruin them… they’re as innocent and pure as can be,” that fan added.

On the other hand, a fan from the northern part of Thailand, Chiang Rai, mentioned the trouble people are facing there due to heavy rainfall and floods. Several people had been victimized by the heavy run-off of rainfall, but for him, the tragic incident involving the children in the school bus was a much bigger issue than the one he had in his city. That fan added, “Horrific news, puts the flooding up here in Chiang Rai into a little bit of perspective.”

The incident may have taken place in Southeast Asia, but the whole world was watching and witnessed through social media and other means of mass media. MMA fans from Canada, South Africa, and even the United States joined Stamp Fairtex in praying for the loss of those infant lives. Those fans commented, “Prayers from Vancouver BC,” “May the families find strength to deal with the loss of a child ..pushing prayers from South Africa,” and “Breaks my heart those poor little babies in Thailand sending love from America.”

It’s never easy news to digest when we hear people losing their lives due to accidents, but the loss of infant lives has even been more hurtful news for people to bear. Our prayers are with the families of these victims.
