Conor McGregor welcomed fellow Irish-American sporting star Tom Brady as the latter announced his comeback from retirement from the sport of American football.
Brady had the entire football community in disbelief last month as the NFL megastar announced his retirement from the sport. However, he gave his fans the biggest reason to rejoice as he announced he will return to the sport once more. ‘The Notorious’ shared the cover of an Irish business magazine ‘Irish America’, which featured Tom Brady, a tribute of sorts for the athlete, accounting for his contribution to the sport as a member of the Irish community.
In the caption, McGregor wrote, “Champions come back stronger and better! Love the sport and it shows! Tom Brady – thank you for the Irish spirit and the big news! ❤️☘️ @tombrady”
The legend himself was quick to notice McGregor’s tribute and quickly replied to his post, “👊🏼‼️ LFG,” an abbreviation of ‘Let’s f***ing go’.
Later, McGregor kept the conversation alive and wrote, “@tombrady They are bout to learn something about us here now, Tom! They think they know? They’ve no fucking idea! Let’s go!!!”
Possibly addressing that, he and Brady have a lot to give to their respective sports and the fans still have no idea what they are capable of.
As of right now, McGregor is one of the highest-paid athletes in the world. Moreover, he claimed the #1 spot on the Forbes ‘The World’s Highest-Paid Athletes 2021’ list and continues to rise on the same trajectory. Currently, he is pushing for his UFC return after suffering a devastating injury at UFC 264.
