Joe Rogan and his podcast ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’ (JRE) continue their run atop Spotify’s charts. Not so long ago, Spotify made a massive $250 million deal with Joe Rogan to keep him signed to their banner, but, Rogan’s strong numbers helped him to negotiate the terms.

According to the new contract, Rogan can now share his podcast episodes on various other platforms such as YouTube, Apple, etc. There was a bit of concern when this happened. People predicted that this might hamper Rogan’s following on Spotify, but it turns out those concerns were misplaced.

The ‘Joe Rogan Experience’ has almost always been at the top of the Spotify list, topping their yearly charts twice in a row. The streaming giants have always been very private about their data points. However, the company has decided to release the data points of podcasters across their platform. Why you ask? Well, it’s their new feature. The music streaming service has been testing a feature that reveals the popularity of its podcasts.

According to the subscriber numbers that can be checked in the music streaming app, Rogan’s numbers are so massive that they cast a shadow over other podcasters. Joe Rogan has a massive 14.5 million followers on his Spotify handle. Just to give you a better idea, it’s nearly three times the next most followed podcast, TED Talks Daily which stands at 5 million.

Joe Rogan seems to be winning against the internet heartthrob and music genius Taylor Swift in the race of podcasting. Swift’s boyfriend and NFL star, Travis Kelce has a podcast named ‘New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce’. Their podcast is loved by many, but it does not even hold a candle to the massive following that Rogan has. In the race for popularity, Joe Rogan is winning on Spotify. ‘New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce’ has a mere 938,000 subscribers as compared to 14.5 million of Rogan’s

Reporter Ashley Carmen even stated that Rogan’s numbers on Spotify do not justify his dominant position. “His Spotify following is still smaller than his subscribers on YouTube, which come in at 16.4 million, and his personal Instagram followers, which are at 18.9 million. But it’s worth noting that Rogan accumulated these Spotify followers over just four years — his show wasn’t on the platform until he signed an exclusive deal in 2020.” So is Travis Kelce’s story over as a podcaster? Certainly not.

‘New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce’ is gaining traction much faster than anyone

Not so long ago, Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce thanked Taylor Swift fans for supporting them as they were nominated and clinched the Podcast of the Year at the 2024 ‘iHeartPodcast Awards’. Apart from their successful career in football, the brothers have a good game in the podcasting field as well.

Their podcasting journey started back in September 2022 and since then they have garnered a bigger audience than many other podcasters in the same industry. As mentioned above, the duo has a massive 938,000 followers. Their podcast “New Heights” has reached ͏impressive rankings on͏ Apple Podcasts in the United States, sitting at no. 40 overall. It’s also holding strong as the no. 3 podcast in the sports category and the no. 2 podcast in the American football genre, according to Chartable.

Their podcast is becoming so huge that the industry is expecting them to have a $100 million net worth just for their podcast. “Companies want Jason and Travis Kelce‘s podcast because of the deep relationship they have with their audiences. That’s the most important thing in podcasting. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was $100 million,”  according to a report from Market Watch.
