The world of wrestling faced one of the biggest upsets when the American freestyle wrestler, Spencer Lee, faced a great loss. Lee was facing the fourth seed from Purdue, Matt Ramos, in the quarterfinals of the NCAA Division 1 wrestling championship. For the folkstyle wrestler, it was his long-cherished dream to win his fourth championship. However, the dream was shattered when Ramos outdid Lee. Ramos was able to pin his opponent to the ground with just a second left in the third period. This paved the way for a huge disappointment to fans all around the world.

The ground game would go down in history as one of the biggest upsets to happen. However, sometimes the grief and anger that come out of loss are unimaginable. More than Lee, it was his mother, Cathy Lee, who failed to control her emotions when her beloved son’s dream was shattered. His mother was distressed after seeing her son lose, but she was unconcerned about the camera’s eyes. His mom’s reaction video went viral on the internet, and at the moment, it is the UFC legend Daniel Cormier and the Super Bowl Champion, Ryan Clark, who reacted after watching Lee’s mother’s outbursts.

Cormier and Clark were seen talking to ESPN MMA’s DC and RC. The two talked a lot about combat sports. Towards the end of the show, Spencer Lee’s mother’s video was shown.

After watching the video, DC said, “Sad to see a guy that was chasing history get beat like that. Didn’t love his behavior after where he didn’t wrestle back and just kind of bailed. Feel very sorry for his mother, but I gotta say it’s fairly Dickinson RC.“

After listening to DC, Clark said, “First of all, I think it’s fairly Dickinson. Secondly, his mom is funny as hell to me, like what was that? You know what I don’t understand when people do stuff and only further harm themselves.”

Talking on the same topic, he further added, “she gotta buy new glasses bro and if she needs to be mad at anyone, she should be mad at herself because on that video when she got her son in the arm bar she led everybody to believe he was beatable and then he got beat. So really, mom has to blame herself.” While RC was talking about this, the 44-year-old burst into laughter.
