We all remember last year when UFC CEO and President Dana White appeared on the Netflix special ‘The Roast of Tom Brady’ and chose to drop bombs on the crowd and Brady himself. While White did have a great time at the roast, he also went off limits while roasting Tom Brady and even attacking Netflix for giving him a spot for just 60 seconds. Even though he didn’t have much time, he managed to gather some huge cheers for himself.
While he looked back on that day during a session at Stephanie McMahon‘s podcast ‘What’s Your Story?’ Dana White revealed a rather hilarious interaction he had with the legendary stand-up comedian Bill Burr before going out for his roast of Tom Brady. While Burr is known for his dark comedy, Dana knowing the risk, came seeking a golden line, a wish that was granted by the comedian.
Last year, when Dana White was in Los Angeles for his appearance at the Netflix special, he had a conversation with Burr about his opening line at the Tom Brady roast show. White revealed what went down on their phone call, saying: “So I call Bill Burr and I say ‘hey, I’m in LA doing this Tom Brady roast, what happens if I start bombing?’ Literally, I sh** you not, on the top of his head, he says, “Hey, what! My name is Dana, isn’t that “Trans” enough for you liberal f**k?”

The head honcho added, “And I said, I’m opening with that, that is f** awesome, I’m opening with that. So then you have to submit your jokes and all the comics sort of mentoring you, they’re like ‘don’t do this, don’t do this joke’ and the fact that, that’s the way they felt about it, made me wanna do it.”

The UFC CEO told Stephanie he had asked Burr for help with his opening lines at the show and that is when Bill, being the legend that he is, gave White the infamous “‘It p*sses me off,’ I flew all the way out here, and you guys give me 60 seconds? My name is Dana, is that not trans enough for you liberal f***s?” On that day, Dana had no remorse, not for Brady, not for the woke movement, and not even for Netflix.
But this isn’t all that White had to say that day. Even though he had zero expertise in the field, the American business giant delivered a rather impressive act, he even used his fighters, Max Holloway and Sean O’Malley, who were there with him, as a part of his joke. But what else did Dana White say? Let us read further to find out.

When Dana White showed no mercy to Brady on his Netflix Roast
From his first joke on the Netflix special it was confirmed that Dana White had brought his ‘A’ game to the sh0w. While Brady sat on the stage and took on so many roasters, White’s entry into the roast made it even more difficult as the UFC CEO kept delivering jokes after jokes. Here’s one more from the roast: “Tom, you played for the Patriots for so long that I was actually starting to feel like you was from Boston. Then I saw you run and I was like, ‘No, he’s definitely from San Francisco.'”
What’s your perspective on:
Did Dana White's roast of Tom Brady cross the line, or was it comedic gold?
Have an interesting take?
White only had a sixty second draw but he took full advantage of his spot as he added another fiery line saying: “You led the league in passing, as a straight guy. Come on, that was a good one.” One joke after another, the crowd was surprised as they had never seen the President of The UFC deliver jokes like these.
And for the main event of his jokes, White pointed down to Holloway and O’Malley as he made his final joke of the night, saying: “I got two of the baddest dudes in the world here right now. ‘Suga’ Sean O’Malley and Max Holloway. Tom, you would have been a great fighter. You’re already the master of the ground and pound. That’s what you call ‘coffee’ dates with your boyfriend Alex Guerrero.”

As he stood down after firing his verbal missiles, White also took a shot at Jeff Ross saying: “One more thing. You people probably don’t know this, but Jeff Ross was very interested in the UFC. He thought it meant ‘Unlimited Fried Chicken’. I love you, Tom.” It seems Dana White took a good lesson from his fighters considering the heavy shots he landed with precision and a great performance that won over the crowd.
Although he did a great job that day, its a rare occasion when we see White do such things. And with now with the UFC boss planning to expand his business ventures, could we see him attempting comedy? Of course we kid, but what do you think the future holds for Dana White? Let us know in the comments.
