Just last week, the podcasting world was taken by a storm as Kylie Kelce, the wife of retired Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, dropped the first episode of her Not Gonna Lie podcast. Little did anyone know that with just one episode, she would dethrone Joe Rogan as the nation’s top podcaster for the week. However, it seems like Joe Rogan definitely hates the #2 spot, so much so that he pulled off a surprise move that stunned many.
It is not often that we get a major appearance on Rogan’s show without much hype surrounding the episode beforehand. However, the JRE host pulled this off yesterday by dropping a three-hour-long podcast episode with none other than Quentin Tarantino, in the latter’s second-ever JRE appearance after episode #1675 in 2021. If that wasn’t enough, his second guest on the show was Academy Award-winning director, screenwriter, and producer Roger Avary, making his maiden appearance on the podcast.
The duo came on the podcast to promote the second season of their very own podcast, “The Video Archives.” But their conversations did not stay limited to the podcast since they talked all about their journey, shared several anecdotes, and talked about feeling the strain of fame. The timing of this edition is perfect considering that Rogan was just dethroned off the top of the podcasting chart, and now he will likely get it back after bringing someone like Tarantino on it.

However, it will still be tough to beat Kylie Kelce, who has frequently appeared on her husband Jason Kelce, and his brother Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce‘s podcast New Heights. So when she launched her podcast just days after announcing her pregnancy, fans were quick to give her the most views as soon as the first episode dropped. However, many are now praising Joe Rogan for bringing an awesome edition of the show.
Fans sing praises for Joe Rogan Experience’s new episode
As soon as episode #2240 of the Joe Rogan Experience hit the internet, fans were quick to shower the episode with love. Taking to the comments, many fans praised the UFC commentator for bringing some of the best guests in recent times. Josh Brolin, Elon Musk, and US President Donald Trump are just some of the few names who have made a recent appearance on the show. As a result, comments like, “Joe is on an insane roll with these guests over the past month. The goat for sure. “Joe Rogan is on fire last couple of months. It’s good to be alive,” and “Rogan’s on fire with this Tarantino appearance,” kept coming.

More fans chimed in on the praise, with many of them claiming that Rogan has set a new benchmark that definitely isn’t easy for one to reach. And it’s not just about the numbers or rankings. Some fans believe Rogan has transcended those scales. While Kylie Kelce did manage to dethrone him this week, the fact that Rogan has been the world’s biggest podcaster for years now proves that he is on a different level. A thought that many other fans agreed to. They wrote in the comments, “Joe is on a level on its own, tbh,” and “Rogan is in his own league; there are other pods that get more views on YouTube, but they are not as respected as JRE.”
However, not every fan loved the appearance of the filmmakers and the podcaster. One fan was truly unimpressed by the conversations between Rogan and Tarantino, so much so that he decided to stop the podcast after just watching it for fifteen minutes. “15 minutes in, can’t watch. Very boring.” Another commenter was of the opinion that maybe it wasn’t the guest; instead, it was Joe Rogan himself who is quite boring in his opinion. “Joe is literally the world’s men bedtime story because once a long story goes on, I fall asleep to it.” Well, surely one can’t impress everyone. But what did you think of the episode? Are you a Tarantino fan? Let us know in the comments.
