The Philadelphia Eagles are Super Bowl champions, and the celebrations extend far beyond the City of Brotherly Love. Even across the Atlantic, die-hard fans like Conor McGregor are reveling in the victory from Ireland. The Eagles delivered a masterful performance, leaving no doubt as they overpowered the Kansas City Chiefs—the reigning back-to-back champions. In doing so, they avenged their heartbreaking last-minute loss to the Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII, emphatically rewriting the script.
And a jubilant McGregor took to social media and shouted out ‘The Green Machine’ for their one-sided win in New Orleans. “💚🤍🦅 Congratulations to Big Dom and the rest of the Philadelphia Eagles on winning Super Bowl 59 from Forged Irish Stout and the Forged Philly Team – Go Birds 🦅💚🤍,” ‘Mystic Mac’ wrote on his Instagram account.
The ‘Big Dom’ McGregor referring to, of course, is Dom DiSandro, the beloved Chief Security Officer and senior executive of the Eagles who has been with the promotion for over twenty-six years. And to be clear, this isn’t just the Irishman jumping on the Eagles bandwagon after they won the Super Bowl.

Fans will remember the Irishman going full ‘McGregor’ and handing out drinks to Eagles fans in a Philadelphia bar last year. In addition, there is also another, much more surprising connection between Conor McGregor and the Eagles’ Super Bowl success.
According to NBC reporter, John Clark, Eagles’ Head Coach Nick Sirianni showed his players a video of “McGregor talking about growth through adversity” to motivate them. But that video, of course, was of the young and hungry McGregor, who bears almost no resemblance to the man he has turned in 2025.

Fans just want closure from Conor McGregor
Conor McGregor once called partying a ‘weakness for the soul’. But that was ages ago, when the Irishman was still on his come-up, back when you just couldn’t take your eyes off of McGregor no matter what he did. There was just something about him that no other combat sports athlete, let alone another MMA fighter has been able to do since.
What’s your perspective on:
Is Conor McGregor's Eagles celebration a sign he's moved on from the Octagon for good?
Have an interesting take?
While most of the UFC fans are too young to have seen the hype and excitement of prime Mike Tyson or Muhammad Ali at his best, one suspects the young McGregor probably recreated that, just in MMA. But the Irishman did everything he wanted to achieve in the sport. Become a double champion, slay the absolute best, and make a lot of money. And it seems that the Irishman is done with fighting after all.

This wouldn’t be bad by itself. But the fact is that the Dubliner still promises he will be back in the Octagon sometime soon, but even Dana White, let alone the fans, has given up on him. Not to mention all the other things going on in McGregor’s life over the past few years, which has led fans to lose much of the respect they had for him.
At this point, fans just want him to bow out. The ship has sailed on him doing it gracefully, but if the Dubliner comes out and just tells fans he won’t be back in the UFC again, that would give them some closure. What do you think about Conor McGregor celebrating the Eagles Super Bowl win?
