Lately, the UFC has also introduced a segment during their PPV events called the “celebrity cam”. Over here, the camera points out to every celebrity present in the crowd. The number of celebrities making an appearance is a lot higher, compared to what it used to be.

The Moment That Made the UFC Huge
In 2016, the UFC welcomed three new members onboard. Actor Mark Wahlberg, seven-time Super Bowl winner Tom Brady, and Patriots owner Robert Kraft. These three were among the new owners of UFC as part of WME/IMG’s acquisition of the promotion.
They bought the company for $4 billion in July. The company was originally owned by casino magnates Lorenzo and Frank Fertitta, who had purchased the brand for $2 million in 2001.
The UFC president, Dana White, had also shared his thoughts about the investment. He said, “Our new investors bring an incredible depth of knowledge and experience to help us continue to elevate this brand and capitalize on its entertainment and sports crossover appeal.”

Other celebrities who became a part of the UFC during this time were, Serena Williams, Sylvester Stallone, Tyler Perry, Venus Williams, Jimmy Kimmel, Adam Levine, Conan O’Brien, Ben Affleck, Calvin Harris, etc.
