36-year-old Jon Jones has made a habit of staying in the news despite staying out of action for such a long time. Do you feel Jones has given the correct advice to Tom Brady?

Jones suffered a shoulder injury during his training session before his UFC 295 fight. Since then the 36-year-old has been waiting to return to the Octagon. One of the biggest discussions among the fans has been about the next opponent for Jones. While the fans wanted to see the current champion take on the interim champion, it seems the UFC has different plans.

Despite being the current interim champion, Tom Aspinall has been constantly ignored by Jones and the UFC. It now seems that Aspinall has moved on from the fight and is now set to feature at UFC 304 next. In a recent interview, he shared his honest opinion about Jon Jones, which might surprise many.

Tom Aspinall believes Jon Jones is the greatest despite the latest feud

As the interim heavyweight champion, Tom Aspinall called out Jon Jones for his next fight. But it seems he will have to wait to test himself against the greatest. The New Mexico resident has repeatedly declined the offer to face ‘Honey Badger’ on his comeback, which has angered most MMA fans. However, it seems Aspinall has no grievances against the current champion, as he termed him a ‘legend’ in his latest interview.

The 31-year-old Brit recently appeared for an interview with ‘TheMacLife’ before his UFC 304 clash. On being asked about Jones, he made it clear that he is currently focused on his next opponent. However, he did take the opportunity to show his regard for the champion and said, “Honestly think Jon Jones is a legend. I respect what he’s done in the Octagon, but right now he’s quite irrelevant to what I’m doing. Like I’m fighting Curtis Blaydes… Like I need to be 1 million percent focused on this. And this is said with a lot of respect, I have nothing against Jon regardless of what he says, it’s all bollocks, but I’m like 100% invested in beating Curtis,”
