You don’t get to the level of success that Dana White has achieved without having critics. However, the UFC head honcho plants his feet and stands firm in the face of critics, including the ‘woke’ mob as he recently did in the interview.
The 53-year-old has been at the helm of the company for over two decades since becoming its president in 2001. White has played a pivotal role in turning the UFC into a multi-billion dollar venture since the Ferttita brothers purchased it for $2 million in 2001. He did so by being a ruthless businessman who rarely compromises on his goals.
Over the years, White has had several critics zero in on him for various issues. From fighter pay to holding shows during the pandemic, White has been public enemy number one on a few occasions. Nevertheless, he went full steam ahead without letting his critics deter him from his goals.

He added, “It grew our business, I don’t know, like 70% or something like that because we were the only thing to watch.”

During the interview, White also shared his excitement about having former US president Donald Trump visit their latest PPV, UFC 287, in Miami, as reported by Fox News. This goes to show the popularity the UFC has garnered in recent times.
White has had his own face-offs with the woke mob on several occasions. His New Year’s Eve controversy was a huge blowback for his own image and that of his Power Slap League. However, he has managed to endure the criticisms and made sure the UFC remained unaffected by them.
