The fight between Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg has all the eyes on the billionaires. To hype up the event, Musk recently declared that the fight would be streamed on X and all the earnings would be donated to charity. However, a piece of unfortunate news also began circling at the same time.

An article claimed that Musk might have to undergo surgery to repair an issue in his upper back and neck. The news extracted a strong comment from Ben Askren. He took to Twitter and sent a reply, that the owner of Twitter (now X) might be getting cold feet. Not only ‘Funky’, but Zuckerberg was also disappointed by the fact that Musk hasn’t yet confirmed the date for their bout, even though he suggested one.

Recently, a tweet went viral, which read, “JUST IN: Elon Musk said he will receive an MRI of his neck and upper back tomorrow and may require surgery, per Bloomberg.” Seeing this news right after Musk revealed that the fight would go live on his social media platform, the world of combat sports went into chaos. 

It wasn’t just the fans. But the professionals also chimed into the action. Askren took up the reins and wrote a response in favor of Zuckerberg. He replied, “Ugh oh!!! He is getting nervous Zucks gonna beat him up.”

Nevertheless, the fight is greatly anticipated by the fight fans. But the duo are yet to fix the date of their fight. While the netizens were focused on what the Twitter boss had to offer, another side of the story was revealed by Zuckerberg.

Zuckerberg stumbled upon a tweet by Musk that revealed that the Tesla CEO was lifting weights throughout the day and preparing for the fight. He also declared that since he doesn’t get time to work out, he brings weights to his work.

But Zuckerberg wasn’t convinced. The Meta CEO wrote on Threads, “I’m ready today. I suggested Aug 26 when he first challenged, but he hasn’t confirmed. Not holding my breath.”
