“You’ve Gotta Draw a Line Somewhere”- “Classless” Conor McGregor Was Once Bashed by “Diehard Fan” Michael Jai White After Threatening to “Kill” Ex-Co-Star Dustin Poirier

Michael Jai White is someone who closely observes the happenings in the MMA world. There were times when the Hollywood star never hesitated to give his unbiased opinions on certain issues that happened inside and outside the UFC octagon. An issue that caught most of Jai White’s attention was how Conor McGregor behaved in a “classless” manner after his loss against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264. When ‘The Notorious’ lost against ‘The Poirier’ in the very first round of the bout by a doctor’s stoppage, all hell broke loose. The fight fans witnessed a violent McGregor where he broke all the boundaries and gave death threats to ‘The Diamond’ and his wife, Jolie Poirier.

The former UFC double-division champion did the most unexpected thing by throwing ugly comments at Poirier’s wife. These actions of the 35-year-old resulted in the ‘Tyson’ actor losing all the respect he had for him. This ended up with Jai White deciding not to watch any McGregor bouts from then on.

 Michael Jai White lashed out at Conor McGregor

In a one-year-old interview with DJ Vlad, Michael Jai White talked about the pathetic actions of Conor McGregor. The Hollywood star wondered what went wrong with ‘The Notorious’ that he ended up threatening a fellow UFC fighter’s family. According to Jai White, this was not at all acceptable, as losing a fight is normal in MMA fights. Jai White said, “That sh*t is just classless. That’s fu*king classless. I don’t know what that is but I don’t think I’ll ever watch a fight of his anymore.”

Talking further on the matter, Jai White claimed that a person should be aware of his boundaries and behave within them. Jai White was in disbelief when McGregor went on to humiliate Poirier’s wife by saying unacceptable things about her. The ‘Blood and Bone’ actor said, ” You’ve gotta draw a line somewhere. He threatened to kill this man, he started speaking about this man’s wife… That was just ugly… If you’re going to say some s—t like that, it’s in you somewhere. It’s like, f—k you for life. It’s classless. I was a diehard fan of this guy, but I didn’t know who this guy was then.” The Hollywood star was a fan of the Irishman until his actions resulted in Jai White despising him.

The Hollywood star praised Dustin Poirier

In the same interview, Jai White also spoke highly of Dustin Poirier. Jai White knew Poirier ever since ‘The Diamond’ acted in a movie of his named ‘Never Back Down 2.’ Back then, Poirier was not a familiar face to fight fans. When Poirier became famous as a UFC fighter, Jai White felt proud of him because he was using his fame to help others.
