Former UFC play-by-play commentator Mike Goldberg recently shared a fond memory with his former colleague, Joe Rogan. The latter saw tremendous success in multiple avenues. Especially with his meteoric rise on the podcast scene. Not to mention, Rogan attracts almost 11 million listeners per episode of the Joe Rogan Experience. Goldberg and Rogan are old friends. And they shared the stage for a glorious few years until the 58-year-old sought to end his career at UFC in 2016.

Since then, The JRE host has worked with many co-commentators. However, Rogan recently ignored Goldberg and proclaimed another commentator to be the greatest of all time in the commentary business.

Joe Rogan was always a funny guy

Former UFC commentator Mike Goldberg recollected a hilarious Joe Rogan incident. In a recent podcast appearance, he shared how the stand-up comic reacted to him leaving the UFC.

Goldberg said, “Rogan was hilarious,” and continued to share a memory involving the BJJ black belter.

“We had a Monday Spike show, and I was to start the next Monday. And Joe, the whole night, kept saying, ‘dude, you’re not gonna go do p*rn, you’re not gonna leave me and do p*rn, are you?,’” and took a dig at his next venture with WWE.

Goldberg felt happy to reminisce on the days of his past. Maybe he misses UFC and boss Dana White after all. In 2016, Goldberg cleared his desk at the UFC after UFC 207.

However, the iconic commentator still has the utmost admiration for Joe Rogan. After all, the podcast host multiplied his name and brand value through his online presence through his podcast show, The Joe Rogan Experience.

Goldberg exclaimed, “you look at Joe today, right!”

The Joe Rogan Experience remains one of the most popular podcasts on the streaming platform Spotify. The former ‘Fear Factor’ host tackles many topics with his distinguished guests. But frequently discusses his love for martial arts and the UFC.

Speaking about Rogan, Goldberg further said, “Joe is very instrumental…” and complimented him.

However, Rogan recently made his pick for the best commentator in the UFC. And it’s none other than UFC color commentator Jon Anik. Despite their old friendship, the American stand-up comedian chose Anik as the better commentator.
