UFC 282 saw the event end with controversial decisions. The main event ended with a split draw for the UFC light heavyweight title. The co-main event promised a banger featuring Paddy Pimblett, but the result of the fight left the fans disappointed and confused. Along with the fans, the UFC President also felt the same thing. Dana White revealed his views about the co-main event during the post-match conference. He criticized Jared Gordon and Herb Dean after the match ended in a controversial manner.

The UFC commentators, Joe Rogan, Daniel Cormier, and Jon Anik too, believed that the fight was close between Pimblett and Gordon. They also believed that Pimblett should not be so confident given the fight was close.

Dana White criticized Herb Dean and Jared Gordon

The result of the fight left many fans, and fighters confused. As a result, judges were heavily scrutinized by the audience after the decision went in Paddy Pimblett‘s favor. Similarly, Dana White voiced his opinion on Dean, who was the referee inside the octagon.

“I thought that Jared Gordon’s game plan going into the third round was horrible,” said White.

He went in and thought he had the first two rounds and pushed him against the fence. And I gotta go after the ref, too. A big fight, co-main event, third round, crowd’s going crazy, and you’re gonna let them stand against the fence the entire fight?”

The UFC President opined that Jared Gordon had a good fight leading up to the third round. Furthermore, he said Gordon could have won the fight by standing up and striking instead of going against the fence the entire time.

This decision cost Gordon the fight as the judges scored the contest unanimously against him. The result of the fight basically gave Paddy Pimblett his fourth win in the UFC and the first by decision.
