In the high-octane world of Power Slap, Dana White has a knack for spectacle. This time, it involved a McLaren 600LT Spider. The goal? Grab attention for Power Slap, a league struggling to recapture its fleeting glory. But what was meant to dazzle ended up leaving the MMA sphere shaking their heads—and laughing.
On Instagram, White urged fans to tune in live on Rumble for a chance to win. But it wasn’t the sleek supercar that sparked conversation—it was the bizarre promotional video featuring a model, Jameliz Benitez Smith, also known as Jellybean, wielding a sword. She dramatically smashed a Lamborghini’s window before unveiling the McLaren giveaway.
And so, the stage was set for what should’ve been a seamless stunt. But sometimes things rarely go as planned! In the UFC garage, Dana White, Jellybean, and the McLaren awaited their moment. “What’s up, everybody?” White began, introducing the winner—a man named Jeff from Minnesota. Jellybean, brimming with excitement, made the call.

When Jeff picked up, his disbelief was palpable. “Oh my goodness. That’s not what I think it is,” he stammered, his voice shaking and Jellybean delivered the good news, “It is. You won the McLaren!”

Jeff’s reaction mirrored a kid on Christmas morning, only multiplied by a few thousand. White chimed in, adding to the chaos, “Can you believe this? We’re sitting in your car right now.” But then, the reality of Jeff’s size came to light. “Are you a giant?” White asked, clearly amused. At 6’10”, Jeff confirmed he was indeed towering—and, as Jellybean pointed out, “You’re gonna have a little trouble” fitting into the low-slung supercar.

“You’ll be catching bugs on your forehead in this thing,” White quipped. The laughter was contagious as Conor McGregor also chimed in with a laughing emoji and called the entire affair “brilliant” in the comments for the video. But even as ‘The Notorious’ and Jeff enjoyed the giveaway, not all voices in the MMA community were on board with the promotional stunt!
Joe Rogan left questioning humanity after Dana White-backed promotional stunt
Joe Rogan has seen it all—or so he thought. During the JRE (Joe Rogan Experience) episode no. 2239 with Derek Munro from ‘More Plates More Dates’, the aforementioned video to hype up the McLaren giveaway was brought to his attention. Munro pointed out, “It was a collaboration I saw a few days ago. They’re giving away a McLaren or something for the next UFC event, I think, and she’s the one who’s talking about it after smashing the window of a Lambo.”

As the footage rolled, Rogan couldn’t hide his disbelief. He gasped and groaned, almost pleading with the model on-screen. “Oh, don’t do it! Don’t… is that a crowbar? Oh, what the f—- are you doing?” His commentary turned into a crescendo of frustration, culminating in a blunt declaration, “Wow, we’re the dumbest f—- race.”
The McLaren giveaway, meant to electrify Power Slap’s image, ended up as a spectacle for all the wrong reasons. While Dana White’s knack for theatrics kept the cameras rolling and fans engaged, the promotional stunt left many, including Joe Rogan, questioning the boundaries of marketing in combat sports. As White continues to champion the league, Rogan’s reaction raised an important question: at what cost does entertainment come? What are your thoughts on the UFC boss’s latest promotional stunt?
