Alexander Volkanovski is on course to be one of the finest fighters of all time. The P4P King has cleaned up the UFC featherweight division. Moreover, by doing so, he has beaten former UFC featherweight champion Max ‘Blessed’ Holloway thrice. Volkanovski is on a further path toward greatness, as he wants to taste glory in another weight class.
This time, ‘The Great’ looks to crush the newly crowned lightweight champ Islam Makhachev and create history by becoming a double champion at UFC 284. Moreover, the featherweight champ recently explained how he thinks the fight will go about.

Alexander Volkanovski has a vision for his fight with Islam Makhachev
Alexander Volkanovski looks clear and certain in his mind as to how he thinks the fight with Makhachev is will play out. Recently in an interview with The AllStar, Volkanovski said, “I think it’s gonna be more of a standup battle… Obviously, he is going to shoot earlier with my movement… I think he’ll probably work striking.”
Furthermore, he added, “I’m not saying his striking’s bad, but he’s gonna be a little bit uncomfortable with my movement and things like that. With the angles that he is used to and timing that I have and all that type of stuff. It’s gonna make him a little bit more uncomfortable… I’m gonna go where I am comfortable.”
Further talking about how the whole fight will pan out, ‘The Great’ said, “I’m gonna clinch him and all that type of stuff. He’s gonna be stronger than me. If he does grab a hold of me, umm, he gonna get a hold of me and I guarantee you.”

Volkanovski explains his source of confidence ahead of the fight with Makhachev
Volkanovski explained in his interview what he does for practice. Not to anyone’s astonishment, the UFC featherweight champion is working harder than ever. Moreover, the P4P number 1 said, “I’m constantly doing rounds and rounds and rounds with fresh guys coming in with 5-10 minutes rest in between their rounds… They wanna give me all the work that they can, as hard as they can, and then they just fold.”

He continued, “Imagine the same guy doing that. I’m telling you I’m gonna be able to do that for 5 rounds, especially against one guy. I don’t care how strong you are. I don’t care how fit you are. You are gonna get slow down, you’re gonna get weaker.”
