Fans on social media have gone wild after what appeared to be an internet offer, turned into reality. SpaceX CEO Elon Musk was recently seen training with BJJ coach John Danaher, Lex Friedman, and UFC Hall of Famer Georges St-Pierre in a post shared by BJJ great Gordon Ryan.

Whether Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg will actually compete in a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu or an MMA fight is still a matter of speculation. This is especially true since Musk doesn’t do BJJ or MMA, whereas Zuckerberg does. However, Elon Musk is doing everything he can to get acquainted with fighting.

John Danaher, who’s known for forming one of the most dominant Brazilian Ju-Jitsu teams ever, has been training with Elon Musk. Furthermore, he has also joined hands with the former UFC champion and Hall of Famer Georges St-Pierre to train the SpaceX CEO for his fight against Mark Zuckerberg. Lex Friedman also joined the bunch during the session since he has trained with Musk earlier.

5-time ADCC champion Gordon Ryan shared the picture of them posing with each other for a photo and took a jibe at the Meta CEO. He urged Zuckerberg to show what he’s got after Elon Musk showed what he’s been working on for the upcoming fight. Ryan wrote, “[Mark Zuckerberg] you move, cowboy.” This match has grown to create such a buzz that there are chances that this fight takes place at the Colosseum.

Italian Government is all in for Musk vs Zuck at the Colosseum

It was Elon Musk who suggested that he fight Mark Zuckerberg in an MMA fight. However, it didn’t time for the Italian Government to respond, as TMZ reported that the country’s administration has showed an interest in holding the fight inside the Colosseum. Reports suggest that an Italian official contacted Mark Zuckerberg about hosting the super fight against Elon Musk at the world’s most legendary stadium.

The official in question is the Italian Minister of Culture, Gennaro Sangiuliano. The legendary Colosseum had seen the last gladiatorial fight in 438 AD. If Musk vs Zuck takes place at the age-old stadium, it will be the first fight in over 1500 years in that venue. Following the news, Elon Musk shared a sarcastic tweet wondering if there was any chance that the fight takes place inside the 2000-year-old Wonder of the World.

While this may be the biggest fight in the history of sports, there are chances that it may not take place in the Colosseum. Due to certain cultural implications and practical obstacles, they may have to refrain from hosting the venue there. We will have to wait and see how things unfold in the days to come.
