Aljamain Sterling, the UFC bantamweight champion, is facing heat from fans. He won the title in a controversial manner against Petr Yan, with a disqualification and then retained the belt in a razor-thin victory over Yan a second time. Fans are not willing to accept that ‘Funk Master‘ is the bantamweight division champion because he has yet to win over them with a convincing victory.

His off-court antics have also caused backlash. Recently, he revealed that he had a bicep injury, which might keep him out for a few months. Despite this, he is calling out Alexander Volkanovski for a fight before the end of the year. This has led to criticism from fans and the media, who believe that he should focus on healing his injury before taking on another fight.

Sterling must prove himself in the octagon with a convincing victory. As well as also avoid any off-court antics if he wants to silence his critics. In addition, solidify his status as the bantamweight champion. Only then he will be able to win the respect of the fans and the MMA community.
Aljamain Sterling sparks fan frenzy
Aljamain Sterling recently commented on an Instagram Reel featuring the top 10 P4P fighters in the UFC. He was the only one to comment and his comment did not sit well with fans. He said, “What a ride it’s been! Volk is an animal! Hope to see him by end of 2023.

This really annoyed fans. Here’s what they had to say:
One fan said: “say ur gonna lose ur belt without saying ur gonna lose ur belt”
Another fan said: “I hope you ain’t saying your gonna try to fight him?”
Whilst a fan clear things out: “I think he meant p4p but what if that fight happen,would be great too”
Some fan calls him a ‘joke’: “your joking dude would legit die…. Volk would big brother his a**s”

One fan wasn’t happy at all: “who the f*k asking you something??Why don’t you stay n silent and enjoy this moment like the other p4p Top Ten??”
Whilst a fan predicts: “na he’s made it clear he wants to go up to 145 because of the Merab thing. Volk by domination though”
Another fan suggests a fight: “Fight Usman Nurmagomedov and he will show you how to wrestle”
While one agrees : “I second this”

Sterling vows to fight after injury assessment
Aljamain Sterling recently took to Twitter to address his fans and critics. In a tweet, he wrote, “They hear what they want to hear. The king ain’t going anywhere.” He then added that he and his team are currently assessing his injury and once things are figured out with the doctor and the UFC, he will be ready to take on his next opponent.

Sterling’s tweet has caused a stir among fans and the MMA community. His bold statement, “The king ain’t going anywhere,” has been interpreted by some as a sign of confidence, while others see it as a sign of arrogance.
