Conor McGregor commands a level of fame and fortune that few other combat sports athletes can match. The Irish mixed martial artist is, without a doubt, the biggest name in MMA at the moment. The 34-year-old UFC star is currently on the road to his return to the octagon after a two-year injury layoff.
McGregor has a lot of fans from different walks of life. Many of them become their fanboy selves around “The Notorious” one. One recent addition to that list is the British boxing promoter, Eddie Hearn.

Following the announcement of his participation in TUF 31, McGregor made headlines again when he stated his interest in setting up Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano 2 in Ireland. The rematch scheduled for May 20, 2023, was looking at Croke Park as the potential venue. However, the discussions for the fight hit a hurdle because of the security bill that mounted up to approximately 541,000 USD.
Upon hearing the news, the multi-millionaire MMA star offered to pay out of his own pocket to see Taylor compete in Ireland. He tweeted out his willingness to pay out of his own pocket to see Taylor vs. Serrano 2 at Croke Park.
Following a series of exchanges on Twitter, the pair met in person the other day at McGregor’s pub ‘The Black Forge Inn.’ In a recent interview. Hearn opened up about the experience of meeting with McGregor, as per iFL TV.

While talking about his trip to Ireland, the interviewer started teasing Hearn about meeting McGregor. However, the 43-year-old was not embarrassed in the least and fired a hilarious jab back.
Hearn said, “If you got two minutes with Conor McGregor… you would be like a dog with two d*cks. Right? You’d be unbearable.”
He continued, “Talk about me, and I don’t mind saying it. The guy’s a legend, right? One of the great fighters, MMA fighters, of all time. One of the great self-promoters, one of the great characters. And yes, I was a bit of a fanboy yesterday.”

Hearn also mentioned McGregor’s Forged Irish Stout brand and recommended it to anyone who was listening.
McGregor’s persona and aura have earned him a lot of fans and haters alike. Evidently, Eddie Hearn falls in the former category.
