Henry Cejudo is pretty confident that he will defeat Jake Paul if the pair ever face each other. Cejudo is a former UFC 2-division champion and has been retired from MMA since May 2020. However, the fighter has often expressed his desire to return to combat sports.

There have been various speculations about Cejudo facing the likes of Deiveson Figueiredo and Jake Paul on his return. Recently, after Paul defeated Tyron Woodley in a boxing match, Cejudo was asked about his relationship with Paul.

Cejudo was quick to respond with a witty remark as the former champion said, “Jake’s got a crush on me, dude. Last time I heard.” During the interview with FighHype.com, they also asked ‘Triple C’ about Paul’s performance against Woodley.

He said, “He beat Woodley fair and square. I called that. It’s different with the MMA glove. With the width of the glove and the weight of it, it’s different. You can’t just rely on that right hand. In MMA, you can get that every day, but in boxing, you got to know your combinations.”

While everyone knows Woodley has great striking abilities, many believed that even then it will be difficult for him to defeat ‘The Problem Child’. Cejudo was one such individual and in the end, he was proved right as Woodley lost to Paul via split decision.

He said, “I would beat Jake Paul because of that reason. I know I’m short. But I’m 160 and what is he, 185? I can get up another 20 pounds if I have to. At least another 10. Jake the snake, if you wanna come at me, you will bend the knee to King Triple C. That’s all I got to say.”
