When asked about his mentality leading up to the fight, the former UFC champion answered in his own signature style. According to the Brazilian, he is in a positive mental state, and moreover, he is happy to be where he is. Further, Oliveira added that everyone around him is also witnessing his happiness.

“Sincerely I’m hungry, I’m happy. Everybody that sees me sees how happy I am to be here. I’m hungry, I’m gonna go after this guy.”

Talking about his opponent, Oliveira began by showing respect to him. However, next came a strong warning from ‘Do Bronxs’. “I have all the respect in the world for him but I’m gonna go after him, I’m gonna hunt him all the time. He wanted a war, war is coming”, said Oliveira. This latest statement by him has raised the level of excitement for all UFC fans.

What Beneil Dariush said about his fight against Oliveira

A few days ago, Dariush appeared in an interview with TMZ Sports to talk about his UFC future. While predicting how his bout against Oliveira will pan out, the 34-year-old had a confident reply. He assured that the fight will definitely be more inclined towards grappling, due to both him and his opponent being exceptional grapplers. Further, Dariush did not hold back while claiming that he would outperform Oliveira in this aspect every time.

“I think we’ll end up on the ground. I think whether he tries to take me down or I try, I think that the attempts will take place. Eventually, if I will hit the ground and we’re gonna see where the tips are gonna fall. I truly believe, in a pure grappling match, I could beat this guy 10 out of 10 times.”
