“F–k Kai Kara France, F–k [Brandon] Moreno. F–k [Israel] Adesanya.” Manel Kape seemed to have a serious chip on his shoulder as he reignited his beef with Israel Adesanya and Kai Kara-France in his post-fight interview after he defeated Bruno Silva at UFC Tampa. Even though ‘The Last Stylebender’ had nothing but praise for the ‘Starboy’, Kape wasn’t letting it slide. Finally, after almost a week, the Angolan-born Portuguese fighter opened up on his words for Adesanya.

Recently, Kape appeared in an interview with Grind City media’s John Morgan, who asked the flyweight fighter if he had the chance to take a look at the video of Adesanya reacting to his Octagon interview at UFC Tampa. The former two-time middleweight champion was left flabbergasted by the heat Kape sent over through the microphone. Adesanya said, “Gave the man his credits, he looked nice… Let’s keep it real man, he f—–g showed up. This shows I have been in his head this whole time. I didn’t even think it was like that, but he did well, good job. Little b—h a– n—a.”

Kape claimed that he didn’t really spend too much time on Instagram, but he did happen to catch Adesanya’s reaction. But while he said he didn’t have anything against ‘The Stylebender’, it was his support for Kara-France that angered Kape. He replied, “He catch the bullet ‘cause he was the one that his teammate from press conference, and then his name came in my mouth, you know. I don’t have nothing against Adesanya. I feel like he’s the old brother. He’s the old brother. And of course, he’s an inspiration for many people, and yeah, he has skills and everything. I don’t have nothing. But you know, you step on my side, it’s war forever.”

It has been over a year since the beef between Kai Kara-France and Kape began. Things got pretty heated when Israel Adesanya stood up for his teammate. But that didn’t mean Adesanya didn’t try to resolve it all. It was Kape’s rage that prevented him from forgiving the set of Kiwis.

Behind the stage at the UFC 293 pre-fight press conference, ‘The Last Stylebender’ tried to make up with the ‘Starboy’. Reflecting on that moment during his previous conversation with MMA Fighting, Kape said, “After all this talk [at the press conference], he came to me backstage ‘Hey, no disrespect, we are Africa, we’re brothers.’ I said, ‘We are not brothers’.” Things became so heated that Kape was ready to take on the middleweight fighter, disregarding the size difference between them. He continued, “You are a man to back up your words. Because you’re just one [man], you’re tall, but I’ll eat you in the streets. Believe me. You don’t know what I’m capable of doing.

But it seemed like it was something Kape had already thought of, and he was pretty serious regarding his enmity with the New Zealanders. He went on, “I expected it, because they’re just acting. The difference is I’m not acting. I’m not acting. I’m for real. These people, they’re not built like me. Where I come from, what I handle – I’m different than these people. He knows. He don’t want the problem there.”

Needless to say, things aren’t exactly smooth between Kara-France and Kape. But it does seem like a battle inside the Octagon could definitely help the fighters settle their differences. All that’s needed now, is a green flag from the UFC matchmakers.
