The coveted main event of the night, a trilogy bout between Leon ‘Rocky’ Edwards and Kamaru ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ Usman for the UFC Welterweight gold, also went until its last second, as neither of the combatants made a decisive move until the stipulated time.

But ‘Rocky’ had the last laugh as the judges declared him the victor of the coveted main event via a majority decision. Understandably, the pro-Edwards crowd at the O2 arena in London went berserk. However, reports show that ‘Rocky’s’ victory was also celebrated in numerous other locations as well. Recently, an Instagram post from ‘ESPN MMA’ displayed the scenes at Edwards’ gym after his victory. The post also garnered numerous reactions and comments from the Instagram population.

A lot of UFC fans would feel the tension building up in Edwards’ Gym showcased in ESPN MMA’s video. The crowd literally burst out in cheers as ‘Rocky’s’ victory announcement was made by the noted Bruce Buffer.

The caption to ESPN MMA’s post also revealed the excitement showcased in their video. It read, “GOOSEBUMPS #UFC286”.

‘Rocky’ looked a lot more strengthened in the bout than in his last fight. His superb takedown defense had the commentators appreciating him time and again. Also, Edwards showcased his kickboxing skills as he landed numerous brutal body kicks and even a head kick.

The judges scored the bout 48-46, 48-46, and 47-47 in favor of the Welterweight king, Edwards, who had his first title defense and also declared himself the victor of this coveted trilogy. The reactions poured in from every corner of the MMA world, but not everyone was a fan of how the victory was celebrated.
