The eagerly anticipated bout between UFC middleweights Israel Adesanya and Sean Strickland saw the emergence of a new middleweight champion. ‘Tarzan’ displayed a dominant performance throughout the five-round bout, and the judges scored him a unanimous decision victory. There was no doubt that the Californian fighter deserved the win, as ‘The Last Stylebender’ looked out of sorts for most of the clash.

This was a disappointing outing for the Nigerian Fighter’s fans, who had expected him to easily defeat ‘Tarzan.’ Although the 32-year-old had not faced as many challenging opponents as ‘Stylebender’, he was able to defeat the two-time middleweight champion in his very first title shot. Adesanya’s loss has left some heartbroken, and one among them is the Australian UFC fighter, Casey O’Neill. She called out people in her homeland for not treating Adesanya well.
