The title fight at UFC 302 featuring Islam Makhachev and Dustin Poirier might just be in jeopardy, with speculations about the champ’s Staph infection flying around on the internet. With Conor McGregor getting disgusted with the scenes on social media, things have just gotten out of hand. Seems like the age-old feud between Khabib Nurmagomedov’s team and ‘The Notorious’ has been reignited.

Shots have been fired by Makhachev’s team with the ‘Mystic Mac’ at the crosshairs. The Dagestani manager, Ali Abdelaziz, recently took to X and shared an R-rated tweet aimed at the Irish mixed martial artist.

Not too long ago, ‘The Notorious’ added to the speculations about Makhachev’s Staphylococcus infection. The picture showed the champ’s leg with a blister on it. But as soon as the Irish fighter shared the tweet, he took it down for good. This isn’t the first time he did so.

The first tweet began the hype around Makhachev’s leg. Immediately after that, the former UFC double champion asked the Dagestani team to maintain more hygienic conditions, since that was usually the reason why most grapplers contracted the bacterial disease. But McGregor being McGregor, didn’t back down from using harsh language.

Right after McGregor shared a now-deleted tweet with Makhachev’s leg in focus, Abdelaziz took to X and wrote, “@TheNotoriousMMA why are you so obsessed with islam you never gonna be like him pound for a pound king  you only can be under his b**ls   Buy the pay-per-view Saturday b**ch.”

But this wasn’t the attack that the team made against McGregor. A few hours ago, in an interview, Islam Makhachev proposed a way to settle the scores. And yes! It involved getting into an all-out brawl between the two teams.

Makhachev proposes a brawl to settle things with ‘The Notorious’

In a recent interview with ESPN’s Brett Okamoto, Makhachev declared that he would finish Conor McGregor’s team in a brawl. Yes, you heard it right! The lightweight champ, on the possibility of a fight with McGregor, revealed that the Irish mixed martial artist wasn’t the force that he was a few years back. But with the heat between Team McGregor and Team Nurmagomedov rising exponentially, only a face-off might resolve things. And that’s exactly what Makhachev proposed.

The Dagestani fighter proposed that they should organize a brawl between his team and the Dubliner’s team to find out who amongst them was the ‘Ultimate Fighter’. It was indeed a take on TUF, but the proposal was packed with nothing but excitement.
