The new AEW signee, and popular Bare Knuckle Championship fighter, Paige VanZant, is open about her future. Even with multiple assignments in hand, ’12 Gauge’ is not ruling out a UFC return. Earlier, the 27-year-old had a nine-fight stint in the premier MMA organization before parting ways.

On her Instagram stories, VanZant was asked about a potential UFC return down the line, and she responded with a positive answer.

She said, “YOU NEVER KNOW 🙂 ONLY 27 YEARS OLD. I HAVE THE WORLD IN FRONT OF ME”

The Oregon native made her UFC debut in 2014. The young fighter debuted in the UFC’s strawweight division and stacked a three-fight win streak. After that, she faced the fellow rising star Rose Namajunas but lost the fight via fifth-round Rear Naked Choke, in a grueling battle.

VanZant bounced back from the loss with a spectacular second-round head kick finish of Bec Rowlings. She went 1-3 in her next 4 fights before parting ways and joining the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship.

However, even the change of sport didn’t help the fortunes for ’12 Gauge’ as she lost both of her fights in the organization.

Now, the fighter has hinted she would return to the ring sometime this year.

Stomach flu caused Paige VanZant to miss the MMA Hour

MMA Journalist Ariel Helwani’s show The MMA Hour is one of the highly recognized MMA shows. The show always expects big-name fighters before and after any breaking news or event. Recently, ’12 Gauge’ signed an AEW contract as wanted to give the world ‘one more reason to hate’ on her.

However, after the news, she didn’t grace The MMA Hour Show. Now, she has revealed that stomach flu to be the reason for the same.

Nevertheless, VanZant has a monumental fanbase from her ‘Dancing with the Stars’ days to her current AEW run. Consequently, any promotion would be happy to have a built-in audience.

Furthermore, as she mentioned, age is still her friend, thus ruling out a return to the octagon would not be a smart choice.
