Former UFC champion Kamaru Usman failed to avenge his UFC 278 loss against Leon Edwards in the rematch at UFC 286. The English fighter won the bout via a majority decision. Moreover, a clip resurfaced on social media where UFC commentator, renowned podcaster, and comedian Joe Rogan took a jibe at ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’s first loss to Edwards which saw the British fighter land a sensational kick to the head to register a win via knockout.

Leon Edwards proved his doubters wrong after his consecutive win against a fighter whom many consider one of the best welterweight fighters in the history of the UFC. Moreover, his tremendous KO win left Kamaru Usman unconscious for a considerable amount of time. Following the first loss, he also became a source of memes. Even Joe Rogan couldn’t help but take an unintentional shot at the former champion.

The video clip in question is from the 574th episode of the ‘Kill Tony’ show on YouTube. The episode came out more than six months ago following the epic UFC 278 main event. Fellow comedian Shane Gillis noticed Joe Rogan getting a little intoxicated as he pointed it out to the UFC commentator. But Joe Rogan didn’t want to stop there. He wanted to drink more.

Shane Gillis told Joe Rogan, “You were dead [too intoxicated]. You were buried, dude.” However, the 55-year-old clapped back at Gillis and said, “But I wasn’t. You mis-underestimated me Like Kamaru Usman mis-underestimated Leon Edwards, motherf*****. Let’s f***** go.” He decided to take a shot at Usman’s UFC 278 loss. The audience erupted with cheers after Joe Rogan’s comments.
