UFC 270 will feature one of the most highly anticipated matches in recent times. UFC heavyweight champion, Francis Ngannou, will defend his title against the interim champion, Ciryl Gane. It is a fight that has got the MMA community excited. Both men are totally different stylistically and fans want to see them battle inside the Octagon.
There is a story behind the fight as well, and both fighters don’t seem to see eye-to-eye. They are former training partners and there are different stories surrounding their sessions. In the press conference leading up to the fight, both men had a disagreement regarding a particular incident.
According to ‘The Predator,’ the challenger got knocked out during the sparring session. He said, “You went to the floor Ciryl and then you left the training… Oh, you don’t remember? Left high kick. You went on the floor or not? Oh, you don’t remember. He was knocked out probably because he doesn’t remember.”

However, Gane called Ngannou a liar and gave his side of the story. He said, “No, this is not the truth. Honestly, you know already, with Francis we did some sparring and it was really great sparring from Francis. And it was a beautiful left kick, and the problem with Francis is, he don’t like technical sparring. You like to make power, and I told you a few times before. So, you give me the left kick, you hurt me, you see I’m honest with you, you hurt me. But you don’t knock me down.”

“You didn’t went down on the left high kick Ciryl? Let’s be honest! And you say I don’t spar technical sparring. I spar with 155ers, I spar with girls and they don’t complain,” Ngannou replied.
Francis Ngannou predicts a knockout win over Ciryl Gane
Francis Ngannou is not just one of the heaviest hitters in the UFC, but in the world. He is known for his one-punch knockout power. ‘The Predator’ has won 12 fights in his professional MMA career via knockout and expects to do the same come UC 270.
In an interview with TMZ Sports, Ngannou said that while he won’t be looking for a knockout, he still expects to stop Gane. He said, “The knockout doesn’t come when I search for it. So, I won’t be searching for the knockout. But I don’t see how we will end this fight without me knocking him out, maybe under 2 rounds.”

‘Bon Gamin‘ is one of the best moving heavyweights anyone has ever seen. He is light on his feet and very quick in his movement. It will be difficult for the champion to find that big strike, but like seen in his previous fights, he doesn’t need many of them to finish his opponents.
