Besides, the color commentator is a fitness enthusiast. In one of his podcasts, the noted podcaster agreed with the plant-based diet. Similarly, the bodybuilding legend Arnold Schwarzenegger also advocated the same views. These views came a couple of years later when the NBA star Kyrie Irving adopted the same.

In episode #1393, Joe Rogan sat with the retired MMA artist James Wilks. Notably, Wilks also produced Netflix’s ‘The Game Changers’ documentary. The other prominent guest included Chris Kresser, a leader in the field of ancestral health.
Joe Rogan’s views on the plant-based diet
The former Fear Factor host in the segment admitted that he would end up agreeing with James Wilks, given the scientific data and arguments the MMA presented.
Thus, Rogan said, “In terms of science, in terms of whether or not, it’s healthy to eat a 100 percent vegan diet, according to everything he’s shown me, it is.”

Further, the standup comic added that Wilkins had as much science as one could have. Lastly, the 55-year-old mentioned, “I think you can definitely be healthy and be vegan.”
Significantly, these comments attracted the attention of another distinguished personality who made the switch to the same diet, albeit later in his life.
What did Arnold Schwarzenegger say about the plant-based diet?
The 7-times Mr. Olympia, in an interview with Men’s Health, revealed his journey from being “the garbage disposal” to adopting a plant-based diet. The legendary bodybuilder-turned-actor claimed that he stayed away from meat and animal-based protein, and as a result, felt better on the greens.

Hence, the 75-year-old said, “There’s this misperception that that’s [animal-based protein] the only way you get big and strong.”
Similarly, the ‘Austrian Oak’ hailed Joe Rogan for his views about the plant-based diet. The bodybuilding legend thus took to Instagram and replied to Rogan’s post of JRE #1393.

Hence, he wrote, “Joe, I just want you to know I’m proud of you for always having an open mind and being willing to listen and change your mind about some things…”

The NBA star Kyrie Irving admitted to adopting the abovementioned diet at the beginning of the 2017-18 season. The then-Boston Celtics star declared that his energy levels increased and his body felt better due to the changed diet. In addition, the 2016 season NBA champion mentioned that he didn’t plan to change his diet as it worked out great.
