Former bantamweight champion Cody Garbrandt took to Twitter and fired off at Sean O’Malley in the latest escalation between the two. Both the aforementioned 135-pound stars have taken every opportunity to hurl verbal barbs at each other on social media. It seems as though a fight between them is a foregone conclusion once the time is right.

Garbrandt went off on Sean O’Malley after the latter trolled him about his take on Jake Paul. While O’Malley kept his jabs to an economical word limit, Garbrandt was certainly fired up about their exchange. Cody Garbrandt vs Sean O’Malley

‘No Love’ has been on record to say that he would make his octagon return no sooner than the first quarter of 2021. He was removed from his UFC 255 title fight against 125-pound king Deiveson Figueiredo after suffering a bicep tear. However, it came out that COVID-19 also played a huge part in derailing his booking.

The hindrance swiftly led to the finish and ‘Sugar’ Sean is keen to re-enter the win column.

Securing a fight against Garbrandt will be massive in regaining the heights that his star power was at before he lost. Cody Garbrandt remains a top billing athlete, and fans always tune in to see him throw heavy hands. The trend in his fights is usually that someone tends to slouch over and hit the canvas. With impressive KO’s on both their resumes, it’s unlikely that the bout will see the final horn.
