Recently, comedian and podcast host Andrew Schulz pointed out the same when Volkanovski appeared on his podcast Flagrant 2. Schulz told the UFC featherweight champion that his trash-talking game needs to be improved. He even offered to help the 33-year-old fighter in achieving the same.
Schulz pulled out a few cards and passed them to Volkanovski one by one. The cards had one-liners and other insults for some famous UFC entities, including Conor McGregor, Dana White, and Khabib Nurmagomedov.
However, the most striking one was Colby Covington, which was enjoyed by Volkanovski as well. Schulz also showed him the clip from the infamous incident from a joint press conference of Covington and Volkanovski, when the latter said, “There’s nothing wrong in being a nerd and a virgin.”
When Volkanovski first saw the card, he looked positive, saw Covington’s name written over it, and started off on his own. He said, “Colby Covington yeah I’m going to like this one. Colby Covington, you’re a piece of s**t. How’s that?”
