With many of the big names, like Conor McGregor and Jon Jones, on the verge of coming back to the UFC, and many others getting out, Sean O’Malley found the promotion to be in dire need of saving. In the recent episode of his podcast, ‘The BrO’Malley Show’, the fighter dropped some bombs on top of the MMA fans. Surprisingly, ‘Sugar’ believed that he was the one who could attract the audience and save the promotion with his upcoming fights. Although the fans appreciate a fighter with confidence, this particular incident didn’t stand in favor of the bantamweight fighter. Without a second thought, the fans of the sport took to the comments and declared war. They dissed the fighter’s beliefs and brought back his last controversial victory to the spotlight. However, some of the fans found similarities between O’Malley and some other UFC superstars.

A social media user felt the fighter’s ground game wasn’t up to the mark.
in a pure striking match he can compete with everyone in the division. i just don’t see how he gets past the ground dominance of cejudo or aljo

‘Sugar’ said, “I’m not saying I’m the best fighter, I’m talking about who’s gonna bring the most eyeballs, who’s gonna give the people that feeling when they walk out? At the weigh-ins, during fight week, and they’re like, ‘Oh, s**t. This fight’s happening.’ It’s me.”
